INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

STEP ONE Lower spare tire for access to the winch mechanism mounted above the frame cross-member. Locate the two hex head mounting bolts that attach the winch mechanism to the frame cross-member. Remove the mounting bolt located on the left rear corner of the winch mechanism. Use the mounting bolt to install the U-bracket and position as shown in the picture. Install both flat washers between the U-bracket and cross-member.

STEP TWO Install the lock bar through the holes in both legs of the U-bracket, with the grooved end facing toward the left rear of the vehicle. Place the crimp-ring retainer in the groove and crimp closed with pliers. Rotate U-bracket until
the lock bar is positioned approx. 2-3/8 inches from vertical winch cable and tighten mounting bolt.

STEP THREE Raise the spare tire while guiding the lower end of lock bar through the lug hole least obstructed by the winch cable retaining plate in the center of the wheel. The lock bar must remain vertical as spare tire is returned to the full up/stored position.

This Lock Is Designed To Install With The Spare Tire In The Orignal Factory Position, Valve Stem Up.

STEP FOUR The PVC lock bar cover/seal is designed to center and hold the lock firmly against the tapered surface of the lug hole. Hold lock inverted with the PVC cover/seal end up. Place lock over the end of the lock bar. Slide lock upward against the tapered surface of the lug hole and rotate to engage lock mechanism with the lock bar groove.
